EMGA 2025 Season

Your EMGA Executive Committee met yesterday to approve the budget for the EMGA 2025 season.  Membership dues will remain at $75 for full membership and $35 for Social Memberships (which allows you to attend our meals and receive EMGA emails).  In addition, we will run the following season-long tournaments again in 2025 with the same fees as in the 2024 season:

 

Match Play:  This is head-to-head competition among EMGA members in a season-long Match Play tournament ($10 entry fee).  Due to our summer activities like vacations and trips out of town, each round will last for three weeks for you to schedule and play your assigned match.  Usually, winning only two matches gets you in the money.

Ike Cup:  The Ike Cup ($5 entry fee), named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, is a EMGA tournament format like the Ryder Cup.  EMGA members will qualify throughout the season for team eligibility and compete in a two-day tournament.   To qualify, members will need a minimum of four scored rounds from qualifying events (OPCs, the Individual Modified Stableford tournament, the Variable Best Ball, and the two Kegel Rounds).    A member’s best four scores from the qualifying events will decide their ranking for both Gross and Net scores. 

Blue and Silver Ringers:  Blue and Silver Ringer tournaments ($5 entry fee for each Ringers tournament) take the best net score you have on each hole of each course over the course of the season.  Your net score for the 18 holes on each course is computed and then the money collected is paid out to the best scores down to a certain number of places determined by the number of people signed up for the Ringers.

So if you want to be a full member for 2025 and you want to participate in all the season-long tournaments, it will be a $100 check.  It will be $75 for full membership without any of the annual season-long tournaments.  You can participate in none, some, or all of the season-long tournaments.

or you can drop the check in the EMGA lock box just inside the door to the Men’s Locker Room at the Eisenhower Clubhouse.  Please make all checks payable to “EMGA” and we would like to receive them no later than March 1, 2025, so we finalize our 2025 budget.
