War Department Interment Letter

The below letter shows where Uncle Bill’s remains were interred in the cemetery located near the town of St. Lo France in Normandy. This letter was received on 11 July 1946. You have to wonder what they did with remains during the time of the war. More information about the current cemeteries can be found at this link. Uncle Bill was later moved to our family cemetery located in Salem Virginia.
