V-Mail Letter to Grandma Crowe

First letter to Grandma Crowe. Grandma Crowe (my Great Grandma on my mothers side) lived with my Grandmother Perdue and my Mom (Reba Perdue) when I was a little kid. Anyway this letter is pretty cute as he tries to setup another G.I. with a pen pal girl friend he knows in Roanoke. He checks up on various cousins who are in the Navy…. The envelop shows a postmark of June 9th 1944 … 3 days after he was KIA… but has a date on the letter of May 17th 1944.
