First Post Card from Camp Lee Virginia

Bill writes home to let everyone know that he arrived safely from Salem Virginia to Camp Lee Virginia for Basic Training. I think he was already making friends as he states he thinks he is going to like the Army. Like everyone that goes into Basic Training that first letter means a lot, is usually short, and let’s everyone know that all is well. I’ll bet the Army Drill Instructors (DI) made them all sit down and write…the Air Force did the same when I enlisted in 1967.
