Favorite Airplanes I flew in Colorado

This airplane was made in Australia and a GA8. It was used for taking very high resolution pictures, search and CAP Cadet orientation flights. It has 8 seats and a 300HP engine. During COVID we used it to haul medical supplies to small medical facilities in Colorado. I loved flying this airplane. I was a mountain Search and Rescue pilot for Colorado Civil Air Patrol for many years. I both taught and certified pilots to fly in the mountains. I made many flying friends over the years and had a few interesting search missions. Colorado mountains are not a place to be a timid pilot.

Some of my CAP flying buddies after breakfast at Salida Colorado. The two of us in the middle are the pilots.
Cherokee 235 with a flat tire after landing at Buena Vista. The inner tube failed after touching down. When the tire went the airplane wanted to pull to the right making it hard to keep on the runway. I had two friends whom I sent downtown to have a nice breakfast while I worked with airport personnel to get it fixed so we could fly back to Colorado Springs.

A Cessna T182T that we used in Civil Air Patrol. Nice airplane as it was turbocharged and had an all glass G1000 cockpit. CAP aircraft are equipped with specialized search equipment and additional FM radios. We typically flew as a three-person crew with each person having specific duties. Loved flying it.
I Took this picture of Breckenridge Colorado using my iPhone. I was a volunteer for Breck for 11 years, I sent the picture to my lead who gave it to marketing. Next thing I know it was published on the web and I received quite a few likes. I think we were flying around 12,00 feet when I took the picture.
